Alchemy Angels
Hey! How are you all doing? Guess what? I went shopping again. I know you're shocked but I did. I started out the other day looking for new hair for myself at Sirena Hair and Fashion. Of course there were so many beautiful pieces to choose from I was having a hard time making up my mind. I must have tried on 10 demo pieces. So after a long session of: should I get long hair, short hair, brown hair, or blond hair; I decided to buy three of the Demo pieces I had tried on. I was finished getting my new hair but I still had shopping left in me so I decided to walk around the area. I wanted to see what the area might offer me so off I went with an adventurous spirit to shop.
I hadn't walked very far when I could see a structure down the road. Following the street around the curve I headed for the building. As I drew closer I could see the sign on the front of it. the word Angels was on the sign and it had a lovely angel with flowers all around her. As I came closer to the building I could see tall trees in the front yard. They had bright pink lights on the branches that illuminated the area around the shop. To my pleasant surprise it was a clothing store. Well I was tickled pink, almost as pink as the glowing lights in the trees.
Walking through the front door you see that the clothes and shoes are displayed all along the walls. The picture of the models in their gowns of each vendor is exquisite. To me they look more like a portrait instead of a clothing display. Of course, you know I need to look at each piece close up and see what it has to offer. I started with the first vendor on the wall to the left. The picture was of a stunning red cocktail dress. I looked around at the remaining vendors and noticed that this vendor, the one with the red satin cocktail dress, sold the dress but some of the others were selling the complimentary shoes. It was a little bit confusing. The glamour shots in the vendors made me think they were selling the dress but it was the shoes the vendor was selling. I also noticed that the dresses are the creation of Constanza Volare while the shoes were Isobel DeSantis.
On each of the vendors there is a demo sign. I know I've mentioned this before and will probably mention it again. I LOVE DEMO SIGNS. Demos are such a good idea. They let you try the item before you commit to buying it. Since I wasn't familiar with this designer and the Demo for the shoes were 0L$ and the dresses were 1L$, I decided to get a Demo of each dress and each pair of shoes before I bought anything. OK! I know some of you might say that was extreme but there is a method to my madness. This way I can go home and try everything on in the privacy of my own home. I can decide if I really like it or not and not feel bad if I don’t buy it if a sales person is on hand. I can try it on in different lights too. So I can get an overall affect on how it will look. I can walk around in the dress and see how it flows. Does it fit right? Will I have to make a lot of adjustments on the piece? These are all the things I like to ask to make sure I want the dress or the shoes and pay L money for it. But if you like to try the clothes on in the store there are pose stands provided. As it turned out I like both designers' creations.
I remembered to take a landmark before I left last time and came back to buy a dress and a pair of shoes. After looking at all of vendors once again, I decided on this little number by Constanza on the left. Confidence is a two piece dress in a dark teal color and comes with a pair of Constanza's shoes. I liked the color and the fit was great. I didn't have to alter a thing. The shoes are very cute and matches the style and color of the dress. There are several versions of the skirt. You have a skirt with a flouncy and you have a straight skirt. Both skirts also have a matching skirt (flouncy or straight) that has an *SS* next to the inventory object. Hmmm! What was *SS* I asked my self. So I pulled up the note card and found out that *SS* stands for “Skirt Sitter”. The instructions tell you how to adjust your skirts so that whatever basic positions you are using; walking, sitting, or standing, your skirt falls accordingly.
I was very pleased with my choice. Confidence was 250L$ with the shoes. As it happens most of Angels' dresses range from 250L$ to 300L$ and the shoes range from 160L$ to 300L$.
I always enjoy it when a store adds a little touch of comfort. The lounge at Angels is very cozy and homey. They have a little dog Rina who greets you at the door. You can get Rina to sit, beg, and roll over too. The couches are plush and the poses are relaxed. There is a large fur rug on the floor and a big fire in the fire place. I sat down for a while and enjoyed the ambiance. This is a place you could come with friend and sit and chat for a while, buy a pair of shoes or a dress and would have had a full fun day. There are also magazine vendors placed around the seating area, Glam SL, Second Style, and SL Illustrated. When you click on any of the vendors you get the latest issue. Isabela also has a charity box for pediatric MS. This is a good cause so when you visit please make a donation of whatever you can.
Well we have toured the whole store. All in all I think this store has a lot to offer. Thank you for going shopping with me. See you again real soon.
